Methodology and data source

How FootyIndex gets its numbers, and what each kind of stat means.

Data source

All player statistics come from the public Champion Data feed used across the NRL's digital platforms. The feed is the official source for the competition's stats and carries play-by-play detail, which is how every game log can show tries, run metres and tackles per match.

Each completed match is ingested once, in full: the score, the scoring sequence and the individual stats of every player on the field. Stats are not estimated or projected anywhere on this site.
